Rudy Gomez

Rudy Gomez joined SSA Consultants in 1990 with 10 years of practical management experience in the health care sector. Throughout his tenure at SSA, he has applied his expertise in planning, operational assessments, process redesign and project management to clients in many economic sectors across Louisiana and the United States.

His recent work includes research and project management for Blueprint Louisiana, a state government reform effort created and governed by statewide group of business leaders. In 2009, he conducted a national best practices study for the Louisiana Emergency Response Network to identify and recommend organizational designs and operational systems to support its initial development.

Other notable client engagements include: the development of a business plan document, “A Roadmap for a Healthier Louisiana: Business Plan and Priorities,” for the Department of Health and Hospitals; an organizational and operational assessment for a national Catholic organization; strategic plan development for the Louisiana Workforce Investment Council; design and implementation of a Crisis Standards of Care public outreach initiative for Louisiana Emergency Support Function-8; facilitation of a strategic planning collaboration among community leaders and the East Baton Rouge Parish School System; design and statewide implementation of a provider outreach initiative to support the startup of Louisiana’s new Medicaid coordinated care model, BAYOU HEALTH; a strategic assessment conducted for a statewide health care provider association; and multiyear planning and project management services in support of Louisiana Models for Change, a juvenile justice reform initiative supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. 

Prior to joining SSA, he worked as a medical group administrator and managed one of Louisiana’s first office-based surgery centers.

Rudy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in economics from Louisiana State University.

He is Chairman of the Fidelity Bank Board of Directors and has served as a member of the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals Health Data Panel.
